Big News: Big Daddy Scuba is Officially Joining the Lifewaters Family!

We have some incredibly exciting news to share with the Big Daddy Scuba community. We are officially partnering with Lifewaters, a phenomenal organization dedicated to bringing the healing, therapeutic, and life-changing power of scuba diving to veterans, first responders, and individuals with mobility challenges.

For us, scuba diving has never just been a hobby—it’s a passion, a community, and a way of life. Joining forces with Lifewaters allows us to take that passion to a whole new level, using our training and love for the ocean to give back to those who have given so much.

What is Lifewaters?

Lifewaters is a certified non-profit organization that specializes in adaptive scuba diving. They train and certify individuals with spinal cord injuries, amputations, PTSD, and other mobility limitations. Underwater, the constraints of gravity disappear, offering freedom of movement, pain relief, and a profound sense of accomplishment.

By becoming a part of the Lifewaters family, Big Daddy Scuba will be actively participating in and supporting these adaptive diving programs, helping to bring the joy of the underwater world to an entirely new group of resilient divers.

What This Means for the Big Daddy Scuba Community

First and foremost: we aren't going anywhere! We are still your go-to source for top-tier instruction, gear advice, and local dive community vibes. However, this partnership opens up some amazing new chapters:

• Adaptive Training Opportunities: We will be incorporating adaptive diving principles into our scope, allowing us to better serve individuals with diverse physical abilities right here in our local waters.

• Community & Purpose: This gives all of us a shared mission. Keep an eye out for upcoming charity events, specialized training days, and opportunities for you to get involved as a volunteer, support diver, or advocate.

• Expanding the Family: We are bridging our local diving family with a massive, inspiring network of divers across the country who believe in the healing power of the water.

Scuba diving changes lives—period. But seeing the impact it has on veterans and individuals overcoming immense physical hurdles is something truly special. We are incredibly honored to join the Lifewaters family and can't wait to see the impact we can make together, both in the pool and out in the open water.
